Royan at the French Atlantic coast. The beauty here is so obvious that the special things can sometimes be missed. A pole was attached to a wall, displaying different scuba diving equipment. The diving goggles, snorkel and bouys had one thing in common: a special black shade. Because of the long term use of the items the colour doesn't really have depth or intensity. But this pale black is what makes the equipment so special. It is a shade full of unassuming noblesse. It is DARK GRAPHITE.
DARK GRAPHITE is a very dark grey shade that is quite suitable for setting striking contrasts in a room. In its presence diverse pastel shades may be combined, without the room appearing to be kitschy. White door or window frames stand out of DARK GRAPHITE elegantly. Natural woods and vintage furniture once again stress the powerful effect of the colour.
